Kathleen was born and raised on the Jersey Shore where she grew up the palest or most sunburned (or some combination thereof) on the beach. Her senior year of high school she won a Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange scholarship to study for a year in Germany. She carried her experiences abroad with her to Yale where she majored in History and International Studies with a focus on Human Rights Law - until she decided what she really wanted to be was an actor. Kathleen graduated with a BA in History and Theatre and earned distinction in the Theatre Major.
After college she made her way to NYC and had incarnations in the world of stand-up comedy and dot-coms, all while continuing to perform regionally and in New York, where she was in the world premiere of Dennis Lehane’s (author, Mystic River) play Coronado, which was a New York Times Critic’s Pick. Regional highlights include Catherine in Proof and Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker.
For the past three years, Kathleen trained at the National Theatre Conservatory and performed at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, which felt like winning the lottery. Kathleen has a passion for teaching Story Von Holzhausen’s Liquid Strength™ and for dancing Argentine tango, which she can do without tripping herself - most of the time. She can also rap in German.
